The Ready Center - Survival Summit

Article Submitted by Brian S. Kiefat @ The Ready Center

Since the 20th of this month there has been a 5 day Survival Summit going on via the internet.  There is a collection of around 25 “experts” that are giving different lectures covering various aspects of preparedness.  Some of the topics include making your own biodiesel legally, identifying edible plants, how to fortify your home on a budget, the correct way to build a Bug Out Bag, how to grow food without irrigation, urban survival, alternative dentistry, the combat mindset, so on and so on.  It is online and completely free.

The Survival Summit website says this collaboration was designed “to be an opportunity for preppers and survivalist to get access to amazing presentations from the industries foremost experts no matter where you live.”

I’ve checked out 2 of the presentations so far.  One was pretty dang good.  I wish I would have taken notes.  The other was a total and complete waste of my time.

There is some very useful information to be gleaned from this, but be prepared to put up with an idiot or two as well.  Check out the promotional video below to learn more.  Sign up and “attend” the summit by following this link.

Let us know what you think.

And as always, MAKE READY!

I have had the pleasure of living and surviving in the rigidly cold and darn near frozen states of North Dakota, Minnesota, and Alaska.  Spending the vast majority of my life within these three states I have learned to appreciate and enjoy the value of heat.  And for a lot of people, burning wood is a huge part of producing that heat.  The use of fire places and wood burning stoves as a source of heat has been around for thousands of years and to this day it is still a realistic and viable alternative to (more…)
